    Forest Adventure

    Today we had the day off!  We went into Matakana village and bumped into some MMP friends who came back to Southgate Farm for a Forest adventure.

    • We noticed that the Toitoi had died in the areas where the Pine trees blocked out the sunlight.
    • We saw lots of flora like this beautiful fern and talked about the koru pattern.
    • There was a lot of chatter about Yeti's and what other mythical beasts might live in the forest.
    • We clambered across fallen trees.
    • We found a pile of animal bones. Oscar told us how female pelvic bones are smaller than male ones.
